Europe Highlights

Long History

Europe is the birthplace of western civilization and human development. But before it was as globally known as it is today, it already had a long, epic history.

The continent birthed many emperors, warriors, and legends, all of whose history you can visit on your travels. With so many conflicts, the epic history of this continent will keep you busy for weeks. You can also see the ruins of these conflicts on your trips throughout the continent.

Diverse Cultures

For most people, Europe conjures images of the United Kingdom and Big Ben. While the UK is an important part of Europe, it’s by no means all of Europe.

The continent is home to 44 countries, from Finland in Northern Europe to Spain, which borders Northern Africa. Each of these countries is an amalgamation of the empires from the past, and it’s very apparent when traveling through them just how diverse the cultures are.

Breathtaking Natural Sights

Europe covers a massive slash of land and stretches from the cold north into the sunny Mediterranean. In between, you’ll find the highlands, tundra, and marine climates, which contribute to the wide array of amazing natural sights.

Whether you want to bask in the sun by the ocean, hike through snowy mountains, or travel through miles of greenery, you can do so in Europe.

Delicious Cuisine

The European continent has a diverse mix of people and cultures. And one of the best things we experienced from this mix of people was a variety of great food.

The cuisine changes from one country to the next. One day, you’ll be eating croissants in Paris and the next you could be enjoying Gyros in Greece. All of these places will spark different parts of your pallet.

Ireland

Ireland, the island off the coast of England, is known for pubs, Oscar Wilde, and kilts. But after visiting this magical place, we have to say there is so much more to it than just beer.

While there, we had the pleasure of exploring some of the most beautiful landscapes we had ever seen. Old ruins and castles dot the landscape, which adds to the atmosphere of the Emerald Isle. There are also many ocean-side scenic trails and small towns with big histories worth exploring.

France

If you’re traveling with your partner, then take a trip through the symbol of love, France. Visit iconic sites like the Eiffel tower, feast on gourmet food, and drink wine while marveling at the newest fashion craze. If that isn’t enough, take a walk through the Louvre or one of the other French national monuments.

Spain

For warmer weather, delicious food, and Spanish dancing, head to Spain. Here you can visit iconic places like Barcelona, Madrid, and Seville for local cuisine, art, and bullfights.

In our opinion, Spain is one of the best places to go to relax on the Mediterranean beaches while eating cheese and drinking wine.

Switzerland

Before we visited Switzerland, we thought we knew what real mountains looked like. We were wrong.

The countryside is filled with towering mountains that are perfect for winter sports like snowboarding and skiing. And when you’re ready to warm up after the cold, you can head back inside and sweat away the stress while enjoying some of the best cheese and chocolate in the world.
